Do I need a reservation to come with my own tent?

The campsite offers designated pitches, which you can reserve through our online booking platform here. If you plan to visit during the high or mid season, a reservation is required — otherwise, we may not be able to offer you a pitch of your preference. During the low season, there are usually available options even without a reservation

Can I rent a tent from the campsite?

Of course you can, for an additional cost, which is listed in the price list on our website.

What is included with the tent?

Only the tent is provided. As for the mattress and bedding, you will need to bring your own or rent them at an additional cost.

How can I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made either through our online booking platform, by phone, or via email.

Do all the camping pitches have shade?

Most pitches are located under wooden pergolas or artificial shading fabric and offer sufficient shade for most hours of the day, but not throughout the entire day.

Is it possible that my pitch won’t have shade when I arrive?

If you choose to arrive without a reservation during the high season — especially around mid-August — it is possible that only spots with limited or no shade will be available. At reception, we will do our best to assist you in the best possible way.

Does each pitch have access to electricity?

All pitches have access to electricity. There is a power outlet for approximately every two pitches. For better convenience, we recommend bringing an extension cord of at least 10 meters and a power strip with additional outlets.

Can I set up my tent/caravan/motorhome on the beach?

The beach is a public area, and according to the regulations of the Hellenic Coast Guard, camping on the sand is strictly prohibited.

Where can I empty the chemical toilet of my caravan/motorhome?

There is a designated area within the campsite where you can empty the chemical toilet and grey water.

Are pets allowed in the campsite?

Pets are welcome as long as some basic rules are followed. They are allowed to stay within the campsite area, but must always be kept on a leash and their waste must be cleaned up immediately. Pets are allowed in tents, motorhomes, caravans, and bungalows — but not in Bell Tents.

Do you charge extra for pets?

No, pets are accommodated free of charge.

Is there someone we can contact in case we need assistance during the night?

There are security staff on duty throughout the night for anything you might need.

Is there a charge for the sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach?

Yes, sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are available at an extra charge.

Are quiet hours respected? What time does the bar close?

We do our best to respect quiet hours to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests. he bar closes at 1:00 AM.

Is the tap water drinkable?

No, the tap water is not drinkable, both at the campsite and throughout the island.

Where can I cook?

There are two communal kitchen areas available for our campers, equipped with counters, sinks with running water, electricity, fridges, freezers, and electric stoves. You can use them with your own cooking equipment. Alternatively, you can enjoy delicious meals at the campsite’s restaurant or pick up snacks and groceries from the mini market.

Are cooking and serving utensils provided for use in the communal kitchen?

No, you will need to bring your own utensils.

Is barbecuing allowed?

Barbecuing is allowed under certain conditions: there must be no strong wind, water must be available nearby, neighboring campers must not be disturbed, and it must be permitted by the fire department. Lighting fires directly on the ground is strictly prohibited. However, there is a designated barbecue area with a grill that you can use free of charge.

Are there communal barbecues?

Yes, there is a specially designed barbecue area.

Are there washing machines and a dryer?

There is a designated area with 2 large washing machines. To use them, you will need to get a coin from the reception, which you will insert into the coin-operated machine to start the wash cycle. You must bring your own detergent or purchase it from the mini market or reception. There is no dryer available.

What dining facilities are available at the campsite?

Restaurant: The restaurant features a wood-fired pizza oven. There is also a self-service area where you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks at any time. You can find omelets, crepes, sandwiches, souvlaki, and home-cooked meals. All meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant or are available as take-away.

Bar: The “Simos” Bar operates within the campsite, offering cocktails, cold beers, wines, as well as coffee, juices, and slushies.

What are the prices at the restaurant and the bar?

Their prices are affordable and comparable to, or lower than, other establishments in the area.

Is there a supermarket nearby?

The mini market located within the campsite offers everything from fresh bread, milk, fruits, cereals, and pastries to essentials like paper goods, cigarettes, detergents, toys, and books for children, as well as seasonal items.

What are the free services provided by the campsite for guests?

For all our campers, the following services are provided free of charge: use of the communal kitchen with electric stoves, fridges, and freezers; toilet paper and hand soap in the bathrooms; hot water for sinks and showers; use of the playground, BBQ area, outdoor fitness equipment, beach volleyball and beach soccer courts, and Wi-Fi.

How can I get there?

You can reach Elafonisos by car, KTEL bus, or taxi.

How long does it take to get to the campsite by KTEL bus?

The journey by KTEL bus from Athens takes about 5.5-6 hours, including stops.

How long does the ferry boat take?

The ferry ride takes about 8 minutes.

Do I need to make a reservation for the ferry boat?

No, reservations are not made for the ferry boat due to the frequency of the routes. You can view the schedules here.

If I don’t have a car, how can I get around the island?

For getting around, there is a KTEL bus that stops outside the campsite and runs to and from the port, where the main town is located, about 8 times a day during July and August. You can also rent a scooter (ask at the reception), but not a car. Finally, there is also a taxi available throughout the summer (ask at the reception).

Is the beach nearby? Is it organized?

The campsite is located right on the beach, with spots ranging from 50 to 300 meters from the sand. The stunning Simos beach, with its endless beauty and sand dunes, begins exactly where the campsite’s fence ends. It is fully organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. However, due to its vast size, there is also plenty of space to set up your own umbrellas or chairs. If you don’t wish to bring your own gear, our mini market offers affordable sun protection and seating solutions. It is important to keep the beach clean, as it is an area of unparalleled beauty, a protected Natura site, and home to Caretta caretta sea turtles.

Is the sea suitable for children?

The sea is sandy and shallow, which makes it ideal for children.

Is the beach sandy or pebbly?

The beach is sandy.

Is there a lifeguard on the beach?

The beach has a lifeguard in front of the campsite during the months of June, July, and August.

What activities are available for children?

For older children, the campsite offers a playground, beach volleyball, beach soccer, and rental bicycles.

Until what time can I enter the campsite with my car?

The gate closes at 01:00 AM and opens at 07:00 AM. After the vehicle gate closes, you can only enter on foot.

Where can I park?

If you don’t want to keep your car inside the campsite, you can park it in the external fenced parking lot provided by the campsite at no charge.

If I come by car or motorcycle, is there parking space?

Of course! We have specially designated parking spaces for cars and motorcycles inside the campsite, so you can easily access your accommodation without worrying about your vehicle. If you don’t want to incur any charges, you can park in the external fenced parking lot of the campsite, which is free of charge.

What are the reception hours?

The campsite reception, during the high season, is open all day from 08:00 AM to 12:00 AM.

Can I pay with a credit/debit card?

You can use your credit/debit card at all points of the campsite.

Where is the nearest ATM?

Inside the campsite, there is an ATM from the Euronet company.

Where is the nearest Health Center?

For medical emergencies, there is a Municipal Health Center 4km from the campsite. In Neapolis, 15km away, there is a Health Center, and in Molaoi, 50km away, there is a hospital.

Can I bring my bicycle?

Our area is ideal for safe cycling and transportation within the campsite. If you don’t want to bring your own bicycles, they are available for rent at the Reception.

What should I bring with me?

Things you may need are a flashlight, charger, lantern, rope, clothespins, pillows & sheets, insect repellents, sleeping bag, mattress, extension cord, power strip, cooking utensils & kitchenware. Many of the above items are also available for sale at the campsite’s mini-market.

Can I rent/borrow tables and chairs?

For those camping with their own tent, there are shared areas with tables and chairs that they can use freely and without charge. They are not available for rent.

Where can I take a shower and is there hot water?

There are clean showers and toilets with hot water available 24/7, so you can enjoy a relaxing shower after the beach or your activities. The facilities are cleaned regularly for maximum comfort and hygiene.
